Desiring more from God than the traditional, judgmental and boring church service that we have all experienced, knowing that there was more to Jesus Christ than politics, money and choir robes, in the spring of 2007 New Direction was established. Pastor Cory and LaKeesh Hughes along with 8 families started a voyage to seek a place in God where authentic worship, sound biblical teaching and acceptance of all people, black and white, rich and poor, gang banger and prostitute was a reality and not just a dream.
