Productive Aging Resources (PAR) Institute announces the beginning of an online certificate program in Generational Ministry for People in the Second Half of Life. Ultimately, there will be six courses and a project. These courses are designed to provide training for ministry with middle and older generations in a church setting. The first course is now open.

Hoblitzelle Foundation was established by Karl and Esther Hoblitzelle in 1942. Grants made by the Directors are usually focused on specific, non-recurring needs of the educational, social service, medical, cultural, and civic organizations in Texas, particularly in the Dallas area.

Founded in 1961, Literacy Instruction for Texas has grown into one of the largest and most widely respected adult literacy programs in the U.S. The purpose of LIFT is to teach illiterate and low literate adults to read English; it's mission is “to enhance lives and strengthen communities by raising the adult literacy rate in Texas.” The work of LIFT is carried out by three distinct programs with help of more than 500 active volunteers and donated space in 36 off site locations.

The Mesquite ISD Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation dedicated to enriching and enhancing the education of Mesquite's 35,000 youngsters. It supplies funds for projects and programs outside the regular school district budget through a grant application process. The founders of this organization come from a cross section of the community.
