City Government

The Coppell Economic Development Committee is an advisory board to the City Council on matters that pertain to economic and business development. The board is comprised of appointees by the Coppell Chamber of Commerce, City Council and Coppell Independent School District. The board reviews applications for tax abatement, sales tax rebate or economic development incentives and forwards a recommendation to City Council. They also advise on city-wide economic and business development programs. The Committee plays a pivotal role in creating public support for the economic development activities of the City.

The Burleson Progress Report is a community newsletter produced by the City of Burleson six times annually. This 8-page, magazine-style newsletter contains information about city services, community events, and Burleson’s local government. Each issue contains a message from the mayor and a calendar of upcoming events, including meetings of the City Council and other boards and commissions. Each issue produced since January 2000 is accessible in the archive below.

Re-interviewing firefighters to cost city $150,000
