The first organization in the United States to sign an affiliation agreement with The Smithsonian Institution. President Bush, then Governor Bush, designated the Museo Alameda as the Official Texas State Latino Museum. With 20,000 square feet of exhibition space, the Museo Alameda is the largest Latino museum in the country located in San Antonio’s historic Market Square district. In partnership with The Smithsonian Institution, The Museo alameda presents extraordinary exhibitions, performances, and educational programs that will provide a forum for the exploration of Latino art, history and culture.
